# Self-Roles

The **Self Roles System** lets members assign or remove optional roles (interests, pings, identity tags, etc.) through an interactive panel—no manual admin work required.

## <mark style="color:purple;">Step 1: Place the Panel for Users to Claim</mark>

#### **`/self-roles panel`**

* Choose the channel to post the panel in.&#x20;
* Bot creates a panel with buttons:\
  **Get Roles**, **Remove Roles**, **View Roles Info**

Users interact only through the panel:

* **Get Roles** – Claim any roles they don’t already have
* **Remove Roles** – Unclaim previously obtained self roles
* **View Roles Info** – See the list of available roles + descriptions

## <mark style="color:purple;">Adding, Removing, Viewing added roles</mark>

#### **`/self-roles add`**

* Pick a role (must be below the bot’s highest role)
* Add a short description
* Limit: **up to 5 roles**

#### **`/self-roles remove`**

* Select the role from auto-complete
* Removes it from the self-role list immediately

#### **`/self-roles view`**

* Shows all currently added self roles
